When Fortnite was launched, it became an instant hit. This multiplayer game was released in 2017, and it has three modes. These modes have similar structure and gameplay; Save the World, Battle Royale, and Creative. When you make an account in a game, you set a username for yourself. However, the first user names that we keep are usually set on impulse.
Most gamers, especially when they are a pro gamer, know the importance of a good user name. If you want to change your username on Fortnite, it is very easy to do so.
Changing Display Name in Fortnite
The player should remember that they can’t change their Fortnite game from inside the game. They have to visit the website, and then they will be able to change their name. Following are the steps that they have to follow:
- Visit the Epic Games website, and sign in to your account
- When you have signed in, click on the display name that you see on the top right corner
- A drop-down menu will appear, and you have to choose ‘Account’ from it
- Under the account info, click the edit button (you will see it right next to your display name)
- Enter the name that you want to choose this time, and then re-enter it
- Tick on the box that says that you can’t change your display name again for at least 2 weeks
- Click on the confirm button
- Your display name is now updated in the Fortnite game
Since you won’t be able to change your display name for 2 weeks, it is best to be careful about the username you choose. You might want to choose something similar to the previous one, so that your current friends, or the strangers you usually play with, recognize it.
Deleting Fortnite Account
In case you want to delete your Fornite account, because you have switched to another game, the following are the steps that you need to follow:
- Go to your display name, and then select the option of ‘Account’
- Scroll below and then choose the option ‘Request Delete Account’, which comes under Delete Account
Once you delete the account, the action will become irreversible, and the account will be disabled. This is why, you need to make sure that you want to delete your Fortnite account, or you want to give the game another chance.
Fortnite Specifications
Fortnite is a multiplayer game, which was released in 2017. Each model in the game has its own weapons, items, map, battle pass, storyline, and shop. Players can even buy Battle Royale Cosmetics. There are four main heroes in this mode, known as Constructor, Ninja, Outlander, and Soldier. The two main enemies of the player are the Storm and the Monsters. The main focus of Ninja is melee combat and moving fast.
Outlander
If you want someone to collect resources, do scouting, and distract the crowd or control them, then Outlander will do that for you.
In Save the World mode, there are two types of traps for the player. Defensive traps damage the enemy and Utility traps can perform the healing function. In terms of statistics, there are four things available to every player. They can know about their health and health regeneration, weapon damages, shield regeneration, and healing abilities.
The statistics offered to the players are very comprehensive, which gives them a chance to know where they stand in the game. In Save the World mode, there are also two types of survivors; one is called Lead Survivors, and the second is called Survivors.
Fortnite is a really fun game to play, and you can change your username if needed. When you enter the world of Fortnite, you will get to access many challenges. However, if you get tired out of it, you can easily delete the account.
